I've noticed with the bias trimpot at different points that I get kind of a breathing, pulsating quality. Is there any way to remedy this? :?:
It probably just means you're setting the compression threshold too low. Is there a trimpot setting where you get an appropriate amount of compression and no breathing?
This is a natural effect of compressors doing too much work.
It was when the bias was turned back. I had given the pedal to a friend and that was his complaint - that when the bias was turned back, and the volume was turned down, that it would kind of breath. I've just always set the biasing a little further up and had never noticed it.
Does anyone know where the biasing is set (voltage wise) to get the original OS level of compression?
Thanks
