Title: Grounding expression pedal jacks
Post by: ExpAnonColin on December 05, 2003, 09:36:32 PM
Is it necessary, as long as the jack isn't automatically-chassis-gronding (plastic casing)?  As long as all you're doing is using a switched plastic stereo jack on both ends (a la the ones I have quite a few of for sale) and a pot inside of the wah casing, then couldn't you NOT worry about grounding? Assuming that the pot is using all 3 lugs and none are ground.

No, in that case, you don't have to worry about grounding the jack. Just think of the guitar cable as two long wire leads.

Score, I knew I'd be able to do it! Just didn't want it junking out on me, just in case.
