Title: A new pedal is born, I call it "a disapointment"
Post by: william on December 13, 2003, 02:46:21 AM
I finally got around to finishing the wrecktumflinger, and it worked.  But its a clean signal that's coming through my speaker rather than even the smallest bit of a distorted signal.  I adjusted the JFETs and they all seem to be working, they are just not clipping.  I'm not sure where to head next to debug.  But atleast it kind of worked, thats more than I expected.

I haven't tried that circuit, but if it's JFET based, make sure that you didn't mix up the Drain and Source connections on your FET's. If you do that, some FET's will bias and pass signal, but with very low gain.

Some types of FET's are actually "ambidextrous" and will work either way (these are mostly used as switches, not gain stages).
