Title: correct rat schematic?
Post by: dazco on December 27, 2003, 11:23:01 PM
I drew a schematic years ago by looking at an old late 70's or early 80's rat, and i have built about 10 of them since from it. However, i have none of them lesft and i cannot find the schematic. So i built a few from scematics online and none of them worked or worked correctly even after hours of staring at them trying to see what i could have done wrong. All the rats i built from my missing schematic worked fine, so it's not a case of not knowing what i'm doing. Can anyone point me to a schematic of an older rat that is KNOWN good?
Thanks..

oh, by the way.......i built the one in the schematic archive here that says "corrected" and it did not work. Maybe it WAS my fault, but i noticed there are 2 transistors, and the old rat i drew my schematic from only had one.

Try the Rodent on JD's site

It looks to be very close if not identical to the single jfet Rat schematic with the addition of a millinium bypass circuit.

Thanks. I think i'll pass on that one tho. I built a rat "derivitive" who's name eludes me at the moment a few years back, and it sounded lousy and reacted totally different. Unfortunatly i can't tell by looking at the schematic whether it's a dead on rat schematic with the bypass being the only difference, or if there are circuit differences beyond that.
