Title: Gus Smalley's Octave Up (with layout)
Post by: keko on December 28, 2003, 01:23:01 AM
Have any of you build this octave up? How does it sounds? Is it worth it? I know Gus surely has a reputation already, but it is an old skecth of the ciruit.

R.G. states that the schem is OK. I'm working on a pcb layout (my fisrt one!!!), but I want to be sure it is a working ckt before I etch.

What should I use  for the input cap (I can't read the number)
What Ge diodes should work?

Thanks!
Keko.

here's the pcb layout

I can say it is checked, but not double checked. I just realized I spent the WHOLE night working on it, so now I'm off to sleep a couple of hours, nut...errr....the sun's already risen  :o

If any of you has the time to go through it, I'd really appreciate any input on my FIRST LAYOUT  (lpb, little jem's and smokey's don't count that much)

See you soon!

I've built it and can confirm that it works. IIRC I built two of them and put them in the same box. Two in a row sounds even wilder.
