Increasing the Resistance to ground at the output of the Green Ringer obviously would increase output, but is there an impedance issue with this I would run into, [how far can I alter this value before it becomes and impedance issue].
Anyone else notice this problem with this build? This is the second one thats like this so far.
I do have an LPB 1 I could use to raise the output level, but Im hoping for a simpler more direct fix.
if you raise it up to 100k you'll need the next unit to have an input impedance that's at least 10 times higher (1 meg). That's basically what you need to keep in mind. But like in the green ringer, an input impedance that's 100 times bigger is better. see, the green ringer has a 4m7 input impedance (from my limited knowledge on impedance) and a 47k output impedance. Maybe you should raise the input impedance aswell when you increase output impedance.
Good luck!
I used the first one I came across as I leafed through my pages and found the Tape Measure Boost {Joe Gagan}
I chose it because of it's simplicity and title [I only needed a small measure to get past unity] and hafta say that is that !!! The Boost helps it out in every respect and put a volume control on it...all in about 15 minutes !!!
I put 90% of the Boost ckt on a longsocket [1/2 of 16 pin IC socket] and it's on the end of the Green Ringers board [ I lieft room there for just such a thing]...both incaps [I like the way they are] and even the 10k collector is in a socket !!!
