May be a stupid question :? , but I still would ask
Can a wireless microphone and receiver be modded to become that for an electric guitar?
Thanks.

I want to have a wireless system for my guitar too! Anyone know anything useful?
I asked the question because I can get a wireless mic set for a very cheap price ($10 considering foreign exchange rate here).
I think there's a wireless project in Mark Hammer's site at hammer.ampage.org
i know the shure lavalier packs take guitar signal just fine (other brands could work fine too), done it many a time. just made a 1/4" cable. they have those weird 4 pin inputs. i think i remember it being just like xlr but the phantom (6Vdc) was the extra pin or something. just used one of the hots and ground and left the other two unconnected.
ratshacks does the same thing
:? what's a ratshack? :?
edit: the one at mark hammer's site distorts the signal anyway, I want a clean transmitter. Who knows of any good sites?
edit edit: Hold on it does clean aswell. Can someone help me draw up a schemmo for just clean transmission?
the shure ones have a gain control in the transmitter near the batteries. you can turn that down to make it stop clipping.
Uhm, yah.
I really wanna go wireless because it would be so much more easy concerning walking-around-issues. Think of music teachers having a heart-attack after producing my pedalboard :D But this would just be a "plug the pedalboard in, turn the transmitter power on" sortof thing, without having to plug cables all over the place. Or at least I won't be dragging cables behind me anymore... :P
Does anyone have a schemmo for a simple working FM transmitter?
Here is a place to begin with if you want to experiment.
