Title: Bosstone update
Post by: Hungeryhippie on January 15, 2004, 06:13:47 AM
I still have mine on bread board and have now spent quite fiddling with it. I tried out the BMP tone control on the end of it before the volume control, but I wasn’t happy with the way it sounded. But I still wanted to make it a bit more of versatile fuzz, then I remembered reading this for producing an oct down effect:-

Just make the input and output caps 10X bigger. So .2uF for input and output - or larger I suppose.

I gave it a try and it did! Well it’s certainly a strange (but cool) sound. I then remembered about the input blend control for the easy face, and I thought I wonder....... I now have a capacitor blend control for the input and out caps, controlled with a dual potentiometer. So regular boss to sounds at full clockwise and the octave down style effect at the other and all stops in-between.

Its cool give it a go
