According to my wife, absolutely!!! According to electrons, I'm not so sure.
I mistakenly bought some ultra miniature electrolytic caps (mouser# 140-L25V10, 140-L25V100) for a tube screamer build. Does the physical size of a cap (or any componant for that fact) matter?. I'm assuming as long as the values are correct everything should be fine, but I just want to make sure before I solder everything in.
Make sure the values are fine. And that it can handle the voltages you're giving it ;)

Hi,
i also bought some 10uF miniature Elkos and use them in a Tubescreamer Clone.
The Sound ist good to my ears. Im not sure, if the normal Oilcans will
make a better sound... i think there is no difference, and if there is one,
you will not heat it, when playing your Songs with your Band, or on Stage.
bye
Oliver
i think the smaller ones are generally lower voltage and higher tolearance...But yea, should be good.
