Title: H&K Rotosphere or Fulltone Deja-Vibe???
Post by: pjackso on January 18, 2004, 06:56:13 AM
H&K Rotosphere vs the Fulltone Deja-Vibe?
Can anyone tell me which one is superior when it comes to vibe units?
I'm going for a Charlie Hunter-ish clean, jazz-Leslie tone.
And how about the Korg G-4?
Thanks :!:

Speaking without actually playing either unit, I'd say go for the Rotosphere.  It is a Leslie simulator, whereas the DejaVibe is a Univibe clone.  They're in the same family of effects, but really are different types.

At the prices of these pedals you might want to spend a little more and get a used Motion Sound speaker cabinet or the Rotary Wave (I forgot who makes it).  After you experience the real thing, there is no simulation that will cut it.

If your're going for a Charlie Hunter-ish sound, the Rotosphere is what he is using since I last checked.

BTW, he is one of my favorite jazz guitarist.
