Title: RM octave off switch?

i have a RM octavia that i would like to be able to turn the "octave" off on..how would that be accomplished? the diodes make the octave up right? is this even possible?

i mean its basically a fuzz right? the rm doesnt have a transformer so... ananybody? is this a stupid question?

On my Tycobrahe Octavia, all I had to do was disconnect one of the diodes.  I'm not sure how it would work out for the RM, but just unsolder one end of one of the diodes and see how it works.
