Title: articals or help testing transitors?
Post by: Leftrights on January 19, 2004, 02:08:10 AM
I've been looking all over to try to find out how to test transitors (out of circuit).  I don't think that it should be a hard time to find, but I can't seem to locate any articals or threads.

I have a bunch of different transitors that I can't find data sheets for.  So I just need to know how to test for gain, PNP/NPN, and whatever else I can find out with a multi-meter.

If anyone could point me in the right direction (or explain it if it's a simple procedure), that would be most helpful.

Cool thanks.

Believe it or not this is in the FAQ :)

I got this link from R.G. I think.

I thought that I had read everything in this whole sight.  I have no idea how I missed that.:x  That's some good stuff.

Thanks Aron.
