Title: Wiring from a dpdt to 3pdt
Post by: jimbob on January 20, 2004, 01:39:19 PM
Im changing my old effects/pedals I 1st made when i started from dpdt to 3pdt. I was looking for a good pic on how to do this..I have a million about dpdt but only 1 for 3pdt from the beginners forum at the link below. What i dont understand is why the led connect to the middle lug instead of the lower left corner as im used to seeing. Will it work the same way doing it this way as any other way?http://diystompboxes.com/sboxforum/viewtopic.php?t=970

It doesn't matter what lug (lower or middle) as long as the chain conducts when on, and is open (not connected) when off. Electrons don't know (or care) which way they flow through the switch. They only see a conducting path.
