Hello all,

My first post in a long time, I have been very busy (haven't built anything in over 4 months now) but am repairing an amp that went on new years eve (just before a gig).

I think I have tracked the problem down to a diode, but cannot ID it. The symbol on the PCB is for a zener diode, and the markings on the case are
W72.

Anyone have any idea what actual part this is?

Just been to a shop to see if I can get a diode, it actually says W172 on the case.

Any ideas?
