Title: 2N7000 what else to do
Post by: zener on January 25, 2004, 06:22:58 AM
I bought two 2n7000 to build a fuzz face variant from runoffgroove but decided not pursue it anymore. What else can I build with it? I know the mosfet booster from Jack Orman but I already have two boosters.

Thanks.

The EA tremolo uses a BF170 mosfet. Maybe the 2n7000 wil work fine too :? Donno.

i use the 2n7000 for the millenium 2 bypass system (cheers RG - such a handy wee circuit!) - although there may be a better mosfet for the job, I don't know....

You'd need more than two, but I think Joe Davisson designed some versions of the BlackFire / Obsidian with 2n7000s...

make a dual version of the easy drive, using a mosfet

Thanks to Aron, Alf, and Joe, I have been using them for clipping diodes in a Muff Fuzz.  JFet's work too.

If you only have two of them, you can try a multi face (you can find it at runoffgroove). Great high gain tone, and you can swap stuff at your heart's content, anything goes there :D
