Title: Problem with SONIC DISTORTION
Post by: Carlos Best on January 27, 2004, 07:18:55 PM
Guys

I have a problem with a clon of a Sonic Distortion. The problem is that if I feed te circuit with a music signal (I mean a walkman, CD player and so on :) ) the thing distorts like is supposed to do, I can see that cause I used  leds for the clipping section. But when I plug the guitar (and I made the test with diferents guitars) the thing doesn't sound
In fact, when is all connected without the guitar, I can hear the usual buzz that we hear in those cases; the same when I touch the tip of the plug.

Please help me!!!!!!!!

Also, Using the DMM manual as reference, try to apply the tool to the ckt every way you think might show you something...

Hi,

There's a ground forgotten somewhere ! Check your cord too, your input jack , join input jack, pcb, pot's,output jack and supply plug  ring together ,sometimes the box is anodized or paint ,and the contact is not good .Best of all ,i do a star grounding with a screw in the box .
