Title: Parallel Wah Inductor?
Post by: petemoore on January 27, 2004, 11:13:24 PM
I have another 'spare' VOX 847 inductor [the one in the working unit has one pronounced midrange hump...not so good] did I read somewhere about using parallel wah inductors?
Just wondering if I was dreaming or if anyone's tried it or if it's worth the trouble...

yes some people use them in parrallel and some in series
Title: Any idea what that would do?

Wouldn't be too bad if I thought I might like it but, fair amount of messin' to get the extra 'carburetter' tucked in there...if iit started choking it would be a waste of time...probly want to get an idea what it might do beofre trying to install it.

A pair of 500 millihenry inductors in series gives 1000 mH, in parallel you get 250 mH (like resistors).
But... what happens if you have an inductor and cap as a unit, and connect this in series with another inductor/cap unit?? I'll leave that for the EEs among us! :?:
