Title: Millenium Bypass question
Post by: gtrmac on January 29, 2004, 03:57:02 AM
What is the best choice for a MOSFET for a MB circuit? I'm guessing BS170 or 2N7000, would this be correct?

I'm just bumpin' this back up to see if anyone will reply.

I can' find the specific information on the GEO article or General Guitar Gadgets. Actually the Rodent project on GGG shows a FET switch for Millenium 1 and I'm looking for the Millenium 2 part.

Oops! I took another look at the GEO article and it lists BS170 or 2N7000.

Well thanks anyway for getting me to take another look.

Just a note to say that BS170 and 2N7000 have different pinouts (reverse of each other).  So while the BS170 faces the "top" of RG's PCB, the 2N7000 faces the bottom.  I wasted about an hour stuffing around when I first used a 2N7000 in the M2.  Weird pinouts are a pain in the arghs!
