Unfortunatly there is no way to directly post a picture here.

The best solution I can offer is to get a free account at a server like http://www.freewebs.com or http://www.geocities.com or another free hosting service.

These free services will not allow you to link to a picture directly from another site, but you can make a page that loads up the picture and then link to that. This is what I have done. Here is an example: http://freewebs.com/qrp/4KCMOS.html

Take care,
-Peter

Most likely your ISP may have webspace for you already and just upload the pics, soudclips to there. Then you can direct link to them from here.

How do they do dat?

Know the links thing...
I have ISP space, just no pics of my own.

Unless U want to see 20yr old Anderton effects.

Also, what do the "buttons" below the subject do?
When i used "quote" i didn't get the little white box w/text(?)
is "img" for "image"...

If you have web space, upload your images to your space and then add the URL to your post. For example... say you upload a picture to your account named pic.jpg and the URL is http://www.myISP.com/~toneman/pic.jpg . If you put that URL inbetween some image tags like this:

[img]http://www.myISP.com/~toneman/pic.jpg[/img]
That will make the image appear in your post. Notice that the first tag is just "img" between a pair of brackets and the second tag has a forward slash in front of the "img" to indicate that it's the end of the image address.

Tags are always used in pairs.

To get a quote, try this....
[quote]this is a quote[/quote]
That will display:
Quotethis is a quote

B = bold
i = italic
u = underlined
quote = the quote box like the quotes from your post
code = like a quote, but uses green text where each character has the same width
list =  for making lists
Img = for posting images
URL = for adding links to other web pages

When you use these, they will affect everything between the opening and closing "tags".

If you go to the main forum index, the last forum is called "Misc. / Testing" and it's for playing around with stuff just like this. Please feel free to make as many exprimental posts as you want in there. :)

I hope that helps,
-Peter

Look at the very top of the forum. There's a ? FAQ link. If you click there, you get this FAQ about the forum:

http://www.diystompboxes.com/sboxforum/faq.php

In there, there's a link about how to display pictures.

I also added it to the About this forum...
