Title: morley a/b/y mods
Post by: guitarzan25 on February 03, 2004, 01:22:22 PM
I just bought a morley a/b/y to switch between my Tophat and an old Fender Power Chorus. Obviously the Y setting is clean, but either of the others is loaded with noise. I'm not really saavy when it comes to wiring (side note: I just finished a completely unworking Tweak-O/ paperweight last night... grrrr), but I'd like to know if anyone has any ideas for using this enclosure to build a different NOISELESS a/b/y or should I just sell this for the 50 bucks and build from scratch?

I'm assuming the pots, switch, and jacks can be salvaged from the untweaking Tweak-O.

Try using a different switch with one extra pole. Then use that pole to ground the unused outputs.

to help me understand, pretend like you're talking to a 6 year old... of the two switches, which one would I replace, the "a and b" or the "a or b"- or does it even matter?

also, does that mean I need a double throw triple pole switch? (or whatever it's called)

much thanks
