Title: Help me with my MXR Microamp modding
Post by: GorillaLover on February 04, 2004, 11:13:47 AM
Piggybacked its opamp chip with a JRC opamp chip..

what capacitors and resistors can I change to get more treble out of it? or at least which components can I change to shape the eqing of the pedal ? I wouldnt mind making this thing into a dirty boost that helps cut with a smaller frequency range

In non-inverting op-amp stages, the high-frequency rolloff is set by the cap between the output and "-" pin, according to f=1/(2pi*R*C).  The low frequency rolloff is set by the cap in the pair of components between the "-" pin and Vref or ground, according to the same formula.

Beyond that, you can also shape tone/bandwidth via the series cap at the input and output of the op-amp.
