Title: Slightly OT, need new chuck for hand drill
Post by: javacody on February 06, 2004, 08:26:41 PM
I went out to get my drill to use the new Unibit I bought and lo and behold, no chuck.  Can you buy new chucks at hardware stores?

No chuck, or no chuck key?

Someone took the chuck off your drill?

You can buy replacement chucks at hardware stores; I recommend the Jacobs keyless variety. Harbor Freight sells them for $10.

If you aren't picky about what type of chuck you want, I have some old ones (keyed) I pulled off of drills when I swapped them. Yours for shipping.

No chuck key is what I should have said.

Take your drill to the store. There's more than one size of key.. don't ask me how I know this..
