Title: 5532 amd 4558's
Post by: petemoore on February 11, 2004, 09:21:37 PM
Op amps...what's a good OA ckt for me to try with one of these?
Anyone tried the Colorsound Tonebender re=issue?
I have many transistor fuzzes that I really like, actually the only OA clippers I have now are the Dist+ and the Sonic Distortion...
I'm beginning to think I just like transistor fuzzes but with these OA's here, Im willing to give another try...
I just finished a Stupid Box, and I think it's promising...only got a couple good bar chords...I'll test on that one later and let you know...

I just built 2 BluesBreakers as per tonepad.com, really like them.  I reckon that your 5532 would go fine in in a BB.  For the 4558, yeah a TS808 or TS9 would be a good option.

I have been tweaking a Muff Fuzz for months using Gus' #1 Mod and Gary's Mockman as a start.  Sounds good. and it's simple.   8)

Thanks Guys !, I'll put the 4558 in my TS clone...Should be interesting, It'll be replacing the TL082 there.
Mockman sounds like a good one for another try now...I had one, for a time, let 'dude' 'try' it...dohh...can't seem to obtain useful contact information for him now...he said he was likin' it last I talked to h
First impression here is a lasting one, the initial  conclude is these OA's make plenty enough difference to me.
Seems there's less inherent 'Whaazy' intermodulation [er somefin] found in certain IC part #'s,
