Title: power supply question???
Post by: doug deeper on February 16, 2004, 05:51:10 PM
ok...i just bought a "power brick" type thing.....
the jacks are "negitive tip"....(boss style....)
all but one of the pedals im using are set up this way....the one that isnt is a dod chorus...(1/8 inch +tip)
i just wanted to know if it would be safe to connect this pedal threw the battery snap??? since im 99.9% sure these are all negitive ground pedals...
im aware it wouldnt work threw the 1/8 inch due to the jack touching ground....
make sence???
safe??? it does work....but i just dont want to fudge any thing up...

connect the input ouput cable between the one in question and the boss style one.
use the beep mode between battery clips to be certain you're grounds and positives arent getting mixed together through the ground ... if ones pos and ones neg ground you should hear a beep when connecting Dmm lead to pedal 'A''s battery + to pedal "B's - a sure sign of a short condition if powered from the same supply.
