In that schematic I've already removed the Zener diode and LED, which were in the JFET eletronics switching section.

As it's shown there, you'll only need a 3PDT switch to wire it up for true bypass, and you can also use the extra row of switches of the 3PDT to wire in a LED indicator light.

Sure, you can use a TL072. Many threads talk about the different sounds of various chips in a "screamer" or "feedback loop clipper" style circuit. My favorite all-around opamp is the NE5532, but they like to chew on batteries.

For transistors, you can use any general purpose audio NPN. In the US, the 2N5088 or 2N5089 are very common, but there are many others. I don't know what options you have in Egypt. Do you have a web link for any of your suppliers?

Take care,
-Peter

the 2n5088 is available but not 089,
i'll use it(the 5088), coz i have a lot of them, and i'll use tl072,
so do u recommend this circuit??or the overdrive pro of jack orman is better???also would b great if anyone got a pcb layoutfor the od1.

the 3pdt isn't available also, i have 2spdt that i use for dpdt, what mods to use dpdt only?
thx again

Talking bout the OD-1... have you noticed the od bleeding into the bypassed sound far away in the background? Is there a way to avoid this short of a true bypass mod? I kinda like the buffered tone of the FET bypass. Thanx in advance.
