Post by: smoguzbenjamin on February 25, 2004, 04:07:32 AM
Hey all

I was wondering, is it OK to use a wallwart (daisy chained to other pedals aswell) and a MAX1044 to get bipolar power? Are there no troublesome conseqeunces?
Cheers

A word of warning if not using the MAX1044 with a 9V battery, be sure to watch the voltage you are sending them, they cook very easily!

Hope this helps!

No kidding! I put 18v on one and toasted it....a rather expensive mistake!

I'll be using this so I don't have to use anything else than a 9v battery or a DC daisy chain ;) Cool, I'm expecting some samples from maxim :D
