Title: What's inside a tropical fish capacitor?

I noticed that the clyde style wah on the fuzz central site has these.  Why use them?  Does it really make any difference?  Is there a modern equivalent?

I believe these are polyester in which case, modern greencaps would do (note some greencaps are brown??)

Seriously though, if they are just polyester why bother getting them.  Because they look purdy?

I think those are metallized polyester film.
