Once again, this is not the madness of ebay, but of the numbskulls who feel the need to take up bandwith with this idiocy. "Hey look! I have something foolish for auction on ebay!" The only thing worse is putting "FULLTONE BOSS" in the heading for a pedal that is neither. One can only hope people like this realize how lame they are and kill themselves for the good of humanity.

Never bid on an item that doesnt have the shipping listed!  It will probably go for a decent price, but you'll get gouged on shipping! Is it Germanium, Silicon, or JRC4558 BS? Will it really have a tube-like smell? It's not true-bypass, though, it will stink whether it's on or off!

If I need that much BS other than work, I'll tune into Senate hearings or something.

Yeah, some people apparently just do a flat shipping rate. So, if you live in the same city, you still have to pay $5.00 for the shipping. Shipping seems to get you no matter who you are buying your stuff from, though.  :(

Idiocy? How about a not-so-subtle comment on alot of ebay sellers? ;)

Ciao.

We're going off the silly topic, but you're so right Paul. Alot of times when the shipping is fixed, it's too high for the size and weight of the item. What's worse is when it's not listed. Some seller's try to make up for what they feel is a low auction price by gouging on shipping. You've already won the item, then you get the email with the shipping charges.  Ebay doesn't allow for S&H in the complaint process. The seller's will tell you its for "professional packing", and when you get it, it's a pathetic home job.

I've been burnt twice like that before. Luckily, I got the shipping down to a reasonable amount by responding quickly. If you're polite but firm, and can link them to other similar items that have cheaper shipping from a further distance, you can shame them into being reasonable. Of course, telling them that your feed-back will also take into account the quality of packing vs. price helps too! lol

Initially, ebay was a relief from mail order suppliers that gouged on shipping. You know, the sliding scale based on price. You pay $35 S&H because the item costs $250, but weighs less than a pound.

Modmod: sorry for my rant, let's get back to ripping on this guy

There's no bullcrap like Texas bullcrap! I don't know what you all boys er' goin' on about. What? You can't take a little crap? Maybe the guy is making a profound statement about the sorry state of eBay, and you guys just don't get it. It's eBay's bandwidth anyway, and that fool has to pay for his listing just like anyone else.

Or I could be completely wrong again. R.G.??

To be true Texas BS, it has to gestate on Texas soil for at least a 3 days. If it's scooped up before that, it just ain't got that Texas flavor!

AND...it must be shipped in an anti-static bag!!! BS gives of methane gas: static electricity can make it explode! No airmail shipping for the lucky winner! Good thing UPS drivers wear brown uniforms!!!

I wonder if someone would be interested in some dirty diapers... surely, there must be a use for that! I would pack it professionally, too.

I don't think ebay cares one way or the other, they make money no matter how stupid the auction is...

"Elvis wore them pretty late in life, how much would they bring?"

Well, if there was a certificate of authenticity and an official copy of a DNA test to verify that it really is Elvis' waste byproducts, oh, it would probably fetch upwards of 10 grand.

I expect there would be companies outbidding each other for the chance to clone Elvis from his excrement - and all they'd get would be hamburgers.

Does he call it "neverland" because he figured that he would never be exposed? If he were dead, his crap would probably be worth more to collectors...

Boy, this conversation really has went down the toilet, hasn't it?

Well, someone won it for 1 cent. Hope they don't get gouged on shipping lol! The anti-static bag for that will cost $10 alone.

BTW, look at his prior transactions, I think he's a musician! A drummer! So that's how you muffle your bass drum!

Must be into Texas Rock!
