I am really interested in building the fatman ring modulator....
pardon my ignorance....but could you please help me to
understand what the 1/2 mix (g), the vco #1 (f), and the vco #2 (h)
is?
also, what voltage will this run off of? 9v ?
thanks.
here is the link on your website:

wow, that chip is 7 bucks.....is it worth it?
Hello casey.
Shoot, that shouldn't be in the datasheets section... oops :(
Go to analog devices' site (http://analog.com)and order a sample of one of these, if you're only just going to use the one.
So this is basically a super super simplified design. The thing doesn't include a carrier oscillator (that's one of the VCO's) or any sort of carrier null (to take out the carrier voltage when you aren't playing). I'd really recommend you go with a more complete, but just as simple design: http://www.experimentalistsanonymous.com/diy/Schematics/YA%20ring%20mod.gif.
Good luck, keep me updated.
Oh, BTW I moved the fatman ring mod to the schematics folder where it should be.
