I have a parts list that calls for potentiometers that are "10KB" and '500KC". What do the "B" and "C" stand for?
Thanks.
Scott
I believe that "a" stands for audio, "b" stands for linear and "c" stands for reverse-audio.
If I'm wrong, could anyone please correct me! :D
Keep in mind that the letters are not universal..... apparently the A and B have opposite meanings in some countries.
Take care,

Correct, although it might go even further than that. Opposing thoughts are A=common, B=less so and c=rare (A being linear, B log and C reverselog), or A = Audio, so log, B is the other one - linear.
I have the strong suspicion this does cross borders, and isn't really bound to geographical location (like 4k7 for 4.7k), but that can also be because of the net...

Scott, post the schematic, or a link if you can. We'll figure it out.
