Title: ARG! I bought the wrong part!
Post by: Halion on March 15, 2004, 09:32:42 AM
Hello,

I'm Tim from Holland. I resently bought some parts from smallbear to build the DOD 440 filter from the general guitar gadgets site. I just got the parts, and I found out I ordered the wrong photocoupler :(

I need the VTL5C4/2, and I got the VTL5C2.

Is there any way I can use this one instead of the 4/2? Mine has 4 legs, the 4/2 has 5, any way I can still use it? I really would hate to have to order just 1 part again.

Welcome Tim! :D

Unfortunatly you will need two of those VTL5C2 units to construct the filter. Sorry to have to give you that news. I wish you the best of luck in your construction.

Take care,
-Peter

Ah dang. Well, better get the right one from smallbear. I initially thought the 4/2 meant you could use 4 or 2, now I know it's just a name.
Thanx for the help.

I'm from Enschede to be precise.

Enschede! Not really next-door to Delft, but a stiff bicycle-ride as far as the Americans are concerned...  ;)
Welcome!
