Title: an idea of a simple Distortion Unit (will it work?)
Post by: Oliver on March 16, 2004, 01:02:15 PM
Hi,

i drawn a simple Distortion Circuit (its not tested yet)
Can somebody say, if this will work, or not?

Thanx

Oliver

I guess it will work, make sure the collectors of the transistors are at around 4,5V. The gain pot should be wired to ground also.

You can experiment with the capacitors between the stages to get a different sound.

Good luck,

Maybe some diodes in parallel with the 4M7 resistors will give a cooler sound.

It'll probably work. Though I kinda doubt you'll be able to get the collectors anywhere near 4.5V using that kind of biasing.

Wondering, why the 43k collector resistors? Kind of a odd value.
