Title: Small stone layout question
Post by: Stoney on March 16, 2004, 06:41:14 PM
Hy everyone.
I'm from Forlì, Italy.
I hope to make some friends here that love music and stompboxes, too
I have built a small stone clone using the specs found on general guitar gadget site, but i can't figure out, looking in this image:

http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/v2/diagrams/smallspl.gif

where solder the on/off switch.
In the small stone section of this site i have found other images but
are referred to another different layout!

Is anybody so kind to post or mail me how to place this switch?

I highly appreciate if some kind one will draw directly on the image linked
because i'm not a skilled electronic scheme reader...

By now i have tried the circuit without the onoff switch and seems to work
when  the "colour" switch is pressed except for some "pops" that occour
whit high frequency when the pot control is opened and less frequency
when it's close.
I don't know if this annoyng pops will vanish when all circuitry will be correctly mounted, i hope so because i have controlled all the things
i made and everything seems ok...
Did anybody experiment those problems?
How can i do?

Thank you!

Title: it does not work!
Post by: Stoney on March 17, 2004, 08:31:23 AM
It does not work, i followed your instructions and when the effect is of i notice the loss of volume typical of the small stone (i fix it on a second time following generalguitargadget mods) and when i press on the volume increases plus than the direct (guitar+amp) signal.
The color switch now does not work and the modulation, even with those annoying pops to fix (how to do it?) is vanished.
Somebody please help meee!!!!!
Look at the image i posted.
Thank you very much!!!
