Title: Somewhat OT: Bob Moog on Tech TV earlier...
Post by: Tim Escobedo on March 17, 2004, 03:31:15 AM
If you missed it, you can catch it for a while here (http://www.themusic.net/techtv-moog.mov). Basically a short blurb several minutes long (17Mb) with a demo of the Moog Theremin. Those with issues about IP and copyrights and wrongs, don't watch.

Awesome Tim. 8) Thanks for that!

My very first record when I was a little kid was "Switched on Bach" which had somebody dressed up as Johann on the cover along with a big Moog console and a whole mess of patch cables.

I had the pronunstication wrong all these years.

Take care,
-Peter

That "somebody dressed up as Johann on the cover" was Walter Carlos then. Later surgically altered to become Wendy Carlos.

Hey, cool...

I am sending this video clip to my brother-in-law who used the bass moog keyboard whith his feet (one at a time...) while playing his bass in the 70's.

That's where he got hooked on a while on Moog synths.

Thanks so much for the link! Great segment. I can't wait for the Moog documentary to be done.

I have a month or two more practice until I become a "virtuoso" with my Theremin!

ha.
