Anybody here from Steve lately?
Marcus,
I just got an order from Steve approx. 2 weeks ago. Still fast and courteous as always.

Small beer? No thanks I'll have a large one please 8)
Hey no fair - you guys have better beer over there!!!! :(
Well now this should start an off topic arguement.
AL
I can even get budweiser.... Hey you can get heineken in the states right?
As you can tell, I have beer on my mind today. I was just woundering about Smallbear. I sent an email the other day and haven't heard back. I didn't know if he was swamped over there. Thanks for the reply guys.... Drink more beer!!!!!!
I ordered something and someone else was handling the orders so yes, someone's on it.
I emailed Steve a while back enquiring in bluk pricing, he was fast and courteous, so no negative remarks there. 8)
Steve has been busy lately, see also the note on his site. But I'm sure he will reply!
Speak fourself Al! Mac and Jacks African amber ale here in Seattle is the most amazing tasting beer I've ever had in my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It comes from a little micro brewery in an old auto repair garage. It is the rave here in Seattle!!!!! God I wish every beer drinker here could experience this stuff. Been all through Europe in the Military and nuthin beats this stuff!!!! Sorry it is only available on tap at the moment! You know Seattle is the micro brewery capital of the world! If you ever lived here for a long time it will drive you to drinking! :D
Thanks guys. I just received an email back from his help just a little while ago. Courtious as always. I was just worried that he might be covered up. At one point my email came back to me. I thought maybe his email box had gotten to full, but I just wanted to be sure.
BTW: For you beer drinkers out there Anheuser has a new beer that is fantastic. It's called Anheuser World Select, and it's a great tasting classic pilsner. I was very impressed with it.
Don't judge Australian beer by that Fosters rubbish. Naturally enough, all the good stuff is drunk here in Oz. The Diplomatic Corps send crates of Vic Bitter to keep the wheels of diplomacy oiled.
And yes, Steve is still on the case & working hard!
8) We can buy beer in ordinary food shops here in Finland. One finnish brand has a text in the label that says "The best beer in the world". 8)
But Small Bear stock list is so amazing that I´ll try to order some stuff maybe next week or so.

Yeah ! Imagine having a cold Heineken, every time you want, fresh from the tap. You even get to tap it yourself ! (great fun to do I can tell you).
All this, if you put this machine in your kitchen or living room, it's about the size of a coffee machine.
But I probably won't buy one, I fear it will turn me into an alcaholic instantly. It's easy to just take
one[/i] bottle from the fridge, but tapping is too much fun to stop with one !
It sure is good for parties 8)

in Bavaria (struggling for independance southern part of germany...) beer is regarded as
food (i.e.: nourishment), not as semi-luxury item or "drug"...
Yeah, Bavarians account for 75% of Germany's beer consumption. They are some beer luvin' fools! They give beer to the draft horses in breweries! You get a beer ration for lunch (if you work in a brewery)! Beer is also referred to as "liquid bread" inferring that many Bavarian's consider beer a life giving staple food! What a great place. I got to get over for Oktoberfest some day (which by the way, isn't it October).
Ben - 21 in the US :-D
I can't help but see beer as a fairly heavy-duty drug and I don't drink at all but not for any kind of moralistic reasons. In the words of the late commedian Bill Hicks.... "There are better drugs, and better drugs for you".
When I do make it to Germany though, the thought of not having some good Bavarian beer just seems like missing too much. I'll drink for sure at that point.
See you next year Ton. ;)
Take care,
-Peter

Truth there. Also beer is called "creeping idiotism" here. It can be very dangerous. Some day I might post a pic of what happened to me after too much beer. And that is a promise.
Funny what you can order from web with your credit card. Some friends at job reported they ordered genuine beer Made in Germany, delivered at their front door. And that was cheap.
But I hope Small Bear continues with components. But until then remeber "Small Beer"
QuoteThey are some beer luvin' fools!
At our annual beer-fest (may/june) they only sell it by the liter...

Bluesgeetar - I'm happy for ya' - actually I'm pretty ticked off about it. I can't get good micro-brew beer where I am. :( I spent a brief amount of time living in Seattle and they did have really good beer. I still have friends out there - maybe it's time for a visit to the west coast.
Puretube - that's a very upsetting picture. I reaaalllly miss German beer. I did a backpacking trek through Europe a few years ago and loved the German/Bavarian alps. It's beautiful country and it gets even prettier with a few pints the blur your vision. I seem to remember drinking meter boards of Hannen(??) alt while in K-town. You guys take your beer seriously over there. In the states you have to search out good beer.

my, my. paul knows his NA beer! 8^)
Beer was an accident...a fermentation process that occurred as Romans were using water...[you put your grains in water to preserve them] as a way to store food energy...lo and behold: Beer.
In Bitburg, the entire town would shut down and the brewery's main fountain would be prepared and filled with [you guessed it] Bitburger Pils!!! The entire town and many folks from miles away would hang out, watch a parade, then watch as the populous either got inebriated or just plain smashed drunk!!! Yupp FREE BEER for everyboady for a day!!! what a deal!!
...lots of mini/microbreweries around here, too (this being the largest hop-producing area o.t. world), but:
I don't post info here cause too many for profit drinkers surf here and would quickly dry out our suppliers leaving us nothing for future drinks....
(lol - sorry - just joking!)

Amother term that might be a little more noticed is nearbeer. During the Elizabethazn time Smallbeer or Nearbeer was given to children and pregenet women as a food rashon as well. The main reason for beer in those times was the health benefits. Instead of drinking the nasty, dirty, filthy water they drank beer. Water then in those times could make you very sick.

..if beer makes you stupid, I wouldnt mind being a little stupid everyday..(un)fortunatly, there are other things in life that dont go hand in hand with stupidity....
