i was cleaning oot my workstation today and found the following items:
2 dual opamps (TL072, 4558)
an old enclosure
about 300 resistors in assorted values (between 10R and about 680K)
a DPDT toggle
a SPST toggle
some ceramic caps(0.0001uf to 1uf)
some electrolytics
does anyone know a schematic for one of those tiny amps that i can build with all this stuff?
TL072 and 4558 are almost the most used ICs in many guitar projects.
Many distortions exploit these chips, you just have to choose which one to build!
I recently finished the BluesBreaker from Tonepad, it's a very nice distortion, I reccomend it if you haven't built it yet. If I remember well, it uses a 072, four clipping diodes any some non-critical components (resistances and condensers).
thanks but i already built one :)
and now its a amp i want to build (just a small one)
If your goal is to make something with JUST "that crap", consider making a cabinet simulator or some other kind of fixed filter.
