Post by: downweverything on April 01, 2004, 03:45:07 AM
does anybody know of a good place to buy this online.  circuit specialists doesnt have any in stock, and allied electronics is $30 for 17oz liquid tin which is kind of expensive.  i prefer the tinnit stuff as it is much cheaper but dont know where to find it.

Circuit Specialists has TINNIT.  One bag is enough to make one pint of liquid, for $4.95.

I've had more problems with tinnit oxidizing....buy liquid tin.  I think mouser stocks it.  MG Chemicals explained to me that it doesn't oxidize but some of the boards that I left sitting for a while were a little difficult to solder...YMMV

edit: mouser has a min order of 4 with 0 in stock at a price of 25 each....arg.  i might just have to get it from allied if i want the liquid tin.

guy liquid tin...
I've had my bottle for going on 6 months and it's still useable.  I get my bottles from a local parts outlet called EPO.  check the MG chemicals website and look for distributors.  If all else fails the parts outlet that I get mine from may be able to send you some...
