Title: Fuzz problems....need help
Post by: jflam on April 01, 2004, 10:09:59 AM
I recently built the tube sound fuzz from craig anderton's book.  It sounds pretty good when switched in the lead position, but has a noticible hum.  Also, when i switch to rhythm it has a horrible hum and the fuzz pot does not work, only the volume control.....

Any suggestions???

First check your wiring and look for solder bridges. also, is it in a metal box, because that could be causing the hum.

no solder bridges/cold solder joints....do think the fuzz pot could be wired backwords???  It seems when i play around with it, the humming goes in and out...

that was a waste of time....anyways, if you have any other suggestions, please feel free to chime in...I'm going to debug with an audio probe and hopefully that will fix the problem...
