Title: A bit OT: There's something about RangeMasters...
Post by: Phorhas on April 11, 2004, 05:29:11 PM
Hi everybody...

I've been experimeting with alot of boosters and kind of OD-like thingies...

But there's nothing like the sweet tone you get from squeezing a good Ge tranny right into a tube amp...

I was playing today and felt something missing... went to the breadboard and a couple of minutes later - MAGIC!!! Just a semi hollow - RM - Tube amp... sweet sweet tone...

I Just love that little european bugger :)

My favorite is using a power supply bias mod wih a rangemaster.  A full nine volts is an unarguably downright beautiful thing, but I love some of the strange fuzztones you can get out of that with a bias mod
