Title: FET gurus, J202 for J201?
Post by: zener on April 18, 2004, 09:57:17 AM
I heard from someone here through PM that he uses J202 for J201 in any circuit and it works. We're from one country where sourcing for a J201 is like treasure hunting. J202 here is readily available.

Are these two the same? J202 for J201 in any effect circuit?

Here are the datasheets of the two:

//www.fairchildsemi.com/ds/J2/J202.pdf

Thanks for any help :wink:

PM: J202 is not on the list of J201 replacements in the FAQ that's why I'm asking this question.

They are generally mentioned as higher gain versions of J201's.  I have tried them in a mini-booster and they were good.  Other than that, I don't know. 8)
