Title: Positive feedback to Aron
Post by: SM on April 22, 2004, 11:49:01 AM
This is the second time I post something positive concerning a dealer. This time I would like to give kudos (is that the right expression?) to Aron Nelson for being a nice guy (BTW Nelson could mean a Swedish ancestor â€" Nilsson).

This is what happened:
I live in Sweden. I ordered some 3PDT switches from Aron. The package didn’t seem to make it all the way through. Concerned, I mailed Aron and he promptly sent me a new batch of 3PDT’s. Now, that is what I call good service. He doesn’t know anything about me.
Eventually, the first package did show up â€" so now I have a nice supply of 3PDT’s.

I just wanted to give this positive feedback to Aron here on the BBS â€" this degree of service and trust is not that common.

:-)

I'm just curious, did the second batch of swtiches arrive yet? If so, then you got two for a price for one, right?

I'm not implying anything bad on your side :) . Did Aron try to find out why the first didn't come (came later actually)?

I've ordered over 30 switches from Aron. I order them, get a confirmation email from Aron..then, in about 3 days, they arrive. I Wish all suppliers were this prompt and professional.

I will pay the second set as well.

Could have been customs holding them up. Arn sent me some power Ics and an inductor a while back (thanks Arn!), the inductor is covered & filled with a blue plastic, no wonder customs was sceptical, it took over a month to get across the Atlantic.

Just my 2 cents :D

Thanks all. I don't know why some packages take so long to get delivered and others arrive so quickly. One thing I might try is a larger package. I think if the package is larger - it's easier to handle and to read etc...  This may make a difference when shipping overseas.

I know how it is to place an order and wait and wait with no confirmation or email about status etc... I'm not saying I'm perfect, but I try to at least let the people know the status within a reasonable amount of time.

I think a certain percentage of packages are randomly routinely held for a closer inspection. My guess is that the first package just ended up in that category.

Take care,
-Peter

From what you said that you're very appreciative of Aron's prompt service, I knew from the start it's either you're going to send the second set back or you'll just pay for it :) .

There has to be a virus with postal offices. I live in Italy and I ordered 4 switch to Aron a month ago but still they haven't arrived yet...
I'll wait for a couple of weeks before considering them lost in the ocean... :(
Next time, DHL only... :D!
