The artwork for these pedals was done for me by a friend of mine named Arlon Prince. They are expertly done with high quality materials. Arlon is a professional painter/artist whose work is excellent and reasonably priced.
If you are interested in using him pm me and I'll hook you up with him.
I get nothing out of this except the satisfaction of seeing a nice guy who does great work finally get the recognition he deserves.
take care,
Clay Jones
Jeez! I can't see my big sz.13 hoof trodding upon something that beautiful!
I'd just sit and stare @ it!

Hey Ricky,
They're beautiful and tough.
He acid bathes them, primers them, masks (if needed) then adds the paint using different techniques and then top coats them.
They are tough enough to be drilled after the paint is applied without chipping or otherwise damaging the work.
I'm going to use the flamed one to house Joe D's Blackfire.
The Brit flag one will house my own novice attempt at a "marshall" style circuit.
The blue one will be an a/b/y type box.
The swirl one...I don't know yet. I just like looking at it right now.

amazing.
WOW  Those look awesome!!!!
Ouch !!
AL
Absolutly beautiful... I'm inlove with that Union Jack...
:)
what kind of paint is he using ?
C
Yup,
that's some damn nice paint work.
On a car or a bike, that would cost some
really big bucks to have done.
I am hesitant to do something like that on
something I throw on the ground and
step on regularly!

Hey, I always liked Prince, man... Kiss- cool tune! Always liked 1999 too, but it's kind of dated now, I guess... Oh, wait... You mean -Arlon- Prince...sorry...
Hey those are really cool looking boxes! Beautiful work!
Doug
It's a pro quality paint.
I'll get a hold of him and find out which brand.
The paint is tough and very durable.
He's done hundreds of these with excellent results.
Thanks for asking.
Clay Jones
Do you know what technic he's usig to apply those patterns/layers?
(or am I asking too much...)
Thanx ahead,
Dan.
Those are AWESOME!
Hey Dan...Not too sure how he does it or which brand of paint he uses. I do know the clearcoat hardener alone is $250/gal.
For an idea of the price range... the swirl paintbox is $20/box.
Those are so pretty I would hate to drill them or do anything to them for that matter...
I dig the Union Jack one, too.
I'm very impressed and jealous!!!!
$20 including the box or additional?
Very cool, btw. I'm extra fond of the flame job. I like flames.
Paul, I know you build a ton of effects. If you ever decided to sell a few and you need a some artwork get a hold of this guy. You won't be disappointed. I'm sure he'd work with you and make some artwork specific to your pedal too if you needed it.
Slackhammer,
yeah, $20 for the paintjob. If you've ever worked with transfer paper trying to get the job right you know how difficult and time consuming it can be. $20 in my opinion is a bargain. The brit flag and the flames are more but you'd have to ask Arlon.
I just really dig the swirls. He gets a 3D effect and all the swirl boxes I've seen are different ... no two alike.
Thanks everyone for your comments...
Cut a hole in a piece of paper lager than the hole you want in the box, and smaller than the width of the masking tape and tape over where you punched/marked for the hole to go. Fold the paper twice and cut the corner off where the two folds meet in the center.
"Those finished "do llook Mmaarvelous...
