I wanted to order some George L cables, but everyone is out of the connectors right now, so i decided i should make my own.
What is some good cable and 1/4" plugs to use that are easy to get and not too spendy. Of course soldering is no problem.

I wasn't sure what you wanted. MF's does sell the George L connectors separately.
im not so much concerned with the jacks as the wire. i could just get jacks from mouser.
Lets start over........
What makes a good insturment cable?
In my opinion, good sturdy cable that can be stepped-on, twisted, knotted and not crap out. :) Oh, and low capacitance.

For cable, check into the Canare GS-6. They are cheap ($.54 a foot) and very good quility.

For connectors, check into neutrick. These type:

They have GREAT prices on Mogami Cable and Neutrik connectors.
I don't know of good sources for things in the US, but I use Neutrik jacks and Klotz La Grange cable. I get them from www.studiospares.com on the advice of Fernmeister (what to use) and Andi Allan of MonkeyFX (where to get it).
