Title: 1001...Big Difference Report.
Post by: petemoore on April 27, 2004, 06:23:36 PM
I coun't a 1 second 'delay before note bloom consistantly on low notes W/HB pickups. Didn't try SC's yet but seems to get an easy to find, fairly predictable and very noticable delayed note bloom..that's really cool.
Does an otherwise bloomy thick Fuzz, with slight synthy feel. Pretty intense, great lead tone, especially if you're fond of big pronounced low note Bloomage.
I measured some PNP's [I think from old RS 15 bag lot], and found some, stuck 'em in there and Blammo !!! Bloomages.
I've had FF's that 'kinda did this trick, this one's good for boxing IMO.
.......... some thick low note bloomage.
The bloom is AXIS like, but probably is less amp dependant.
Nice thick Fuzz with lots of character and pronounced, delayed low note bloom. An easy [well sorta easy..I had my trubbles] build, RS supplies could get you through this one!
All that with just one pot...it's a ringer !
Title: Does Other 'Funny' Stuff...

Like Squash notes down If I hammer on the low notes. Then with a slight 'relief' pause, hit a big Bass Note, and theres a 'Big Difference' in volume and tone.
Unique. Have you tried a booster or Buffer in front of it? That's often the next thing I like to try. Seems like it might overdo the reverse dynamic effect.
Does an interesting job on the low notes.
Limited note definition on chords, best for the unique tone/attack of the low notes on leads. Interesting effect. Seems to have to do with loading of the circuit.
