Title: More bass from my Tonebone Hot British pedal?
Post by: cb on April 28, 2004, 07:36:15 PM
There must be a cap in there that I can substitute to get more bass out of this Tonebone. I know it's a 'Hot British' and therefore designed to be more midrangey, but I want to back out some of the bass loss. If I crank up the bass control it boosts a range that's a little higher than I want (more like a low mid range).

I'm comparing this to my Marshall JCM800 - when you crank the preamp section it has lots of full sounding bass. But the Tonebone is killing that deep bass and I want it back!

Thanks in advance for any help.

why don't you ask the manufacturer?  I'm sure they'd appreciate customer feedback ...

I have a feeling that they deliberately design their pedals to cut bass so it sounds right at stage volumes
