Welcome to the United States of Europe - welcome to all our friends in those countries I havn't got time to list.
Well, we are in all but name, bigger in size than the little country south of Canada (oh Canadaaaaaaaaaaaaaa). We have met some really nice folks from Poland, Czech Republic, Lithuania etc but let's hope that when they start coming to England, it doesn't push wages too low!
I hope for them, they don`t get european prices too soon...
This is the problem I think, these folks are used to wages of less than 25% of what we earn for professional work, so employers will be rubbing their hands together and willlingly employ them on low wages and get rid of normally paid people. The situation is already bad enough here for professional people.

As a skilled tradesman in the U.S., I've been dealing with the effects of this for years --the world is changing, Steve, (always has been) hang on to that stiff upper lip, and stay positive ;)
