Title: Haphazard IC comparison/identification
Post by: Somicide on May 03, 2004, 03:25:53 PM
Heh, I'm downright careless when it comes to testing an OA (or checking if it even is and OA).  I have an IC socketed in the distortion portion of my practice amp, and when i find an 8-pin chip, FOOP, in it goes.  heh, i've had some good finds, some bad finds, and some REAL bad finds (DC Inverter chip anyone?)  I suppose i could find the data sheets or whatever for these, but where's the fun in that?

its fun!  heheh, nice one!  in my defense, i have Netzero free dialup, so
my ISP is limited to 10 hrs a month, so looking up datasheets ain't always
feasible.
