I've just acquired a large bag of Mullard OCP71 phototransistors and have a few questions the geniuses (genii?) on here may help with.
Are these just OC71s without the black paint ?
Anyone know where I can find a datasheet (google gave up :wink: )
Yes, the OCP71 is exactly that. Sorry, I've never found a data sheet for the OC71 but do a search for 'Mr Transistor' aka Andrew Wylie and you should be able to get some info from him.
There have been a lot of surplus OCP71s around for the last few years. Be warned, even in the dark many of these are VERY leaky, and may even be stocks of parts that were deemed sub-standard at the time of manufacture. :( But give them a try, you might be lucky.
