Title: BSX60 = NTE128...any good?
Post by: petemoore on May 07, 2004, 03:30:44 AM
I found these big 'ol top hat looking tranny's.
They measure HFe 140 NPN in the DMM.
Anyone know if they're any good for 'what'?
They say wide application, video, audio driver...and came from an old computer monitor... :o

Quite similar to a 3904, I've only used it in a couple applications.
In a FF...works fine, nothing special.
Basically if you're short 1 NPN, these seem to work fine.
The ones I measured, the Hfe was: 140-204.
They sure look kool with the BIG top Hats !
NTE sub [NTE128] data says low leakage, audio video amplifier, and some other stuff...Plug in = Works = good enough.  [?]...or am I missing a detail?
