Post by: cahannon on May 14, 2004, 11:31:49 AM
A week ago today I sent away for some parts for a Neutron.  I still haven't even gotten a tracking # is this normal when you guys all deal with this company?  I sent them an email about this they have yet to respond.  Thanks

Yesterday I placed an order with them and got an email today letting me know my order was shipped today albeit in two shippments but they paid for the postage on the 2nd part of the shippment.I cant say I had a problem with them but I do check wether they have the things I want to order in stock before I order.I know this doesn't guaranty anything but thats just how I do it.

This is not normal. Mouser has been uniformly on top of every shipment I've ever made from them, over a period of years. Mouser nearly always ships the same day the order is placed, in my experience.

They're always really friendly on the phone, I'd just call them to see what's up.  For my last order I didn't get an email saying it was sent, but it came pretty fast anyway.

Mouser sends a E-mail as soon as you place your order letting you know that they received it.  Then I always get an E-mail saying it shipped usually all in the same day.

The last 2 orders I placed they upgraded my shipping to UPS 3 day at no extra charge. :P   They have always been very cool to order from.

I would call if you didn't get a confirmation E-mail.

Mouser has always been totally on top of orders.... except.... hmmm my last order.

They never replied or anything and after a while I called (after a about a week to week 1/2). They said a lot of people were sick and out with the flu etc....

The lady checking my order put it in the queue and it shipped the next day.

I recently got the new Mouser catalog in the mail, and was reminded of Steve Martin in "The Jerk" : "The new phone book is here! The new phone book is here!" Never had a problem dealing with them, but statistically some orders are bound to *fall through the cracks*. Certainly not typical for Mouser.

mouser can go for months, even years, without making a mistake on my account, but when they do, it's a doozy.  for example, i placed an order back in february for some custom seiko parts that have a 12 week lead time.  when they didn't arrive this month, i called them, and my salesperson said she didn't know what was going on.  eventually i discovered that the order had never been placed with seiko and a manager helped me expedite a new order for mid june.

I've never had a problem with a screwed up order from them, but the Post Office screws the shippment up all the time!
